Saturday’s game between Duke and North Carolina will be among the biggest — if not the biggest — in the recent history of the rivalry.

The game, which pits the fourth-ranked Blue Devils (26-4, 16-3 in ACC play) against the Tar Heels (22-8, 14-5), will be the final regular-season rivalry game with Mike Krzyzewski leading Duke. It will also be his last game at Cameron Indoor Stadium. And a win will clinch the outright regular-season championship for the Blue Devils.

A lot on the line, to say the least.

Krzyzewski is in no danger of falling to a losing record — or even a .500 record — in the rivalry with a loss on Saturday. He earned win No. 50 against the Tar Heels on Feb. 5, an 87-67 victory at the Dean Smith Center that was appropriately lacking in fanfare or well wishes from North Carolina faithful. What else would you expect from the greatest rivalry in college basketball?

That said, Coach K can replicate what friend and rival Roy Williams did in his final year at UNC by sweeping his team’s biggest rival. Williams’ team beat Krzyzewski 91-87 and 91-73 in last year’s meetings. Of course, there are March Madness considerations in this as well: Duke is still vying for a No. 1 overall seed, while a win for UNC would clinch an NCAA Tournament bid.

With that, The Sporting News has everything you need to know about what could be the final meeting between Krzyzewski and UNC, including tipoff time, broadcast information and recent series history:

Duke vs. North Carolina will broadcast on ESPN on Saturday. Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas will call the game with Holly Rowe reporting from the court.

An alternative simulcast will take place on the ACC Network as the “Coach K Curtain Call.” Wes Durham, Mark Packer and Debbie Antonelli will call the alternate broadcast, which features “guests and insight and different camera angles and all sorts of other stuff for Coach K’s curtain call.” Kelsey Riggs and analysts Joel Berry, Carlos Boozer and Luke Hancock of “Nothing but Net” will anchor halftime.

The ESPN App will also offer “Surround” and “Supracam” views of the game.

The game and Coach K’s legacy in college basketball will also be featured heavily in Saturday’s episode of “College GameDay,” hosted by Rece Davis, Bilas, Seth Greenberg and LaPhonso Ellis. It will feature the following programming:

  • Roundtables with the Past, Present and Future: Saturday’s special two-hour ‘GameDay’ will feature roundtable discussions with head coach-in-waiting Jon Scheyer, current basketball staff members and former Duke greats.
  • The Legacy of Crazies: A look at the legacy of the Cameron Crazies and K-Ville, as Duke’s most passionate fans cheer Coach K at home one last time.
