MANISTEE — The Armory Youth Project was presented with a $20,000 grant recently from the Protein Foundation on behalf of House of Flavors, Inc., in support of the Armory’s mission to provide a safe environment where young people in grades 6-12 can be encouraged in their educational, emotional, physical and Christian spiritual development.
“We are big fans of the Armory and everything they are doing in Christ’s name for their community,” said Matthew Owens, Protein Foundation managing director, in a news release. “They’re providing the opportunity for young people in the community to share our faith and demonstrate God’s love for them, giving them the opportunity to grow and be transformed in his power.”
Dominic Garza, House of Flavors chief operating officer, presented the check to Armory Executive Director Amy Wojciechowski.
“House of Flavors is blessed to be in a position to continue to give and partner with local organizations within our community and neighboring counties,” Garza said in the news release. “It’s our mission to feed people both physically and spiritually in the name of Christ, and this project is in alignment with that mission. We are proud of the work that Armory Youth does and are awe-struck at their dedication and commitment in creating these activities for our local youth.”
Wojciechowski said she is extremely grateful for the House of Flavor’s continued support of Manistee County youth.
“We are very thankful for House of Flavors’ support of our focus on creating a flourishing youth culture in Manistee County where every person feels valued, finds a pathway to opportunity and has the tools to realize a more promising future,” she said in the release.
